And so I’m working as an OR nurse
After undergoing a thorough training for almost a month and receiving a full month’s salary, we were finally welcomed at the OR! Gaaaaah. It was a great thing to hear that starting Monday, Nov.3, 2008, we will go inside the operating suites and do observations as per procedure. 15 of us, the new APPLE OF THE EYE of the OR will be manning the area with great anticipation. With the supervision of the best senior staff nurses and our trainers, we indeed are the POWERHOUSE!!! [that’s how we motivate ourselves] Lol. :DDD
Having heard all the warnings and “pananakots” of some of the regular staff nurses, I chose not to get affected by them and just do my part as a probationary nurse of the said area. My eagerness to learn and grow professionally overcomes the great fear that comes with it. I’m pretty sure that whatever happens, it is up to me to handle the situation and must I learn how to choose the better path. By God’s grace, I’m confident that I’ll be working just fine. :DDD
